Hi, and Welcome
My name is Hashir. I'm a Master's student studying AI at Illinois Tech, Chicago. I was born in England and am originally Pakistani.
I wasn't the best student when I began high school, so I decided to improve my grades. I got into reading non-fiction books such as Deep Work by Cal Newport, The Productivity Project by Chris Bailey, and A Mind for Numbers by Barbara Oakley. I honed my skill of self studying and began slowly branching out into other subjects. Nowadays, I read books from all sorts of domains including politics, philosophy, science, and biographies. And I intend to stay on this trajectory.
Reading gave me an itch to try writing. I created a blog called Learner's Loft in 2022 where I wrote about productivity because that's what I was most familiar with. When I branched out into other genres, they didn't fit my blog's theme. Most blogs have a niche. They're usually about a person, a domain, or a subdomain. I did not want to be governed by that.
I began toying with the idea of writing albums. Musicians produce albums with different themes, allowing them to organize their work. I found that order comforting, so I built this site that follows that philosophy. That's why it resembles a platform for streaming music. Each album consists of a set of blogs that follow a theme. The theme relates to what I am learning about at that time. Therefore, this blog serves as my discography of knowledge. I hope you enjoy.
